a selection of romantic Christmas-themed movies to watch from the comfort of your own home
Chronology
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest, in a process judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick.
The movie was shot on location in historic Independence Square, Missouri, which really does look like it all year round
The locations that served as Higman’s family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are family-owned businesses in real life, too.
I thought this movie was cute
The square also has Christmas lights like the ones in the movie.
This is definitely a trademark movie that the over-the-top family always tries to get in on
It was sports-themed, and I loved the little Easter eggs (Donna Kells, Andy Reid, and older retired players) that appeared in the movie.
I highly recommend watching the movie, especially if you’re a woman who loves sports and romance
This movie was a nice departure from the usual “powerful female CEO comes to a small town to fix something and falls in love with a small town guy.” Overall, though, it was a typical trademark and still a cute Christmas-themed movie, albeit not as big a theme as football.
