Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take the reins of the crime world in Gotham. Aside from the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our appearance as Robert Pattinson in The Penguin. Colin Farrell struggled to get his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. For his own series, however, the character is portrayed as a casual tobacco user with a penchant for cigars.

The Penguin is just awesome
Everyone knows what a great actor Colin Farrell is, but he is unrecognizable in this role of the Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets nominated for a few awards for his role in this film. The biggest surprise was Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone. I wasn’t entirely sure when I heard she was nominated for this role, she is a good actress but I didn’t think this role was right for her.
I was wrong
She is as good as Farrell in this film and makes you believe that Sofia Falcone is a real rival to the Penguin. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he gets nominated for a few awards for his role in this film. This is not a typical DC or Marvel series, this is a full-on gangster series. Set in the underworld of the now half-destroyed city of Gotham, this series is an excellent sequel to Matt Reeves’ Batman.
